I was looking for a tractor here in my home country, but I couldn't find
anything that wasn't either huge or used to within an inch of its life. The
things I could find, even beat up, were expensive anyway.

I decided to try and research and learn about tractors online and get a feel
for the pricing. After surfing tons of sites that weren't updated or didn't
have photos, I stumbled on TheTractorGuy.com. What a refreshing change!

All of the tractors were basically what I was looking for, and they all
seemed reasonable in price. The hard part was deciding what would be best
for me as I'm not a farmer and don't have years of experience.

I emailed Drex and in our conversations he asked me what I was looking for
the tractor to do. He then started emailing me when he thought he had
something that would fit. He finally called me and told me he had a JD 2040
coming up that was perfect.

I got photos emailed from him and was almost making my decision when it
struck.... I'm sending a downpayment and buying a tractor ONLINE... from a
guy in Oregon for heaven's sake! Who the heck is this guy? So I asked for
and got references, and even double checked the references. Finally, I had
to make a decision.

I took a chance. I sent Drex my downpayment. I got a call about a week later
and Drex was in my hometown with the tractor. We met and unloaded it. Drex
and Becky were as nice of people as you'd want to meet. Drex ran me through
all of the details of the tractor and operated all of the controls for me,
to show me that it worked.

Interestingly, the very next night I was doing some disking and had what I
thought was a problem. I called Drex and he reassured me that if there was a
problem I could take the tractor to the local JD dealership and he'd take
care of it. Also, I had a 30 day no questions asked return warranty.

It turned out that the "problem" was me. Operator error. I've had the
tractor now for almost two months and it's great! Everything works perfectly
and my friends all shake their heads in disbelief at the value I got for my
money.

I trust Drex. If he had a tractor and told me it was cherry, it would be
cherry. If it had a problem, he told me about the problem and even talked me
out of a couple of tractors he had concerns about.

I give Drex and Becky the highest of recommendations.

Hi Becky & Drex,

We got your card over the holidays and it made us think of you, but in
actuality we are reminded of you every day! If it wasn't for the tractor we
purchased, we would be literally snowbound in our house! We have never seen
so much snow in Cascade. Of course where we are on West Mountain there is 10
times more snow than in town. It snowed for the last 8 days and we have 24
new inches. Add this to the 4 feet that was already in the yard...

Thank you for the positive experience of buying a used tractor from you.

I have looked for a medium sized 4WD tractor in Michigan for over three (3)
years, but was unable to find anything that was reasonably priced. I left
my name with four (4) different dealers and none ever contacted me
concerning any used tractor. (I think the dealers ignored me because I was
not a regular customer and not a commercial farmer.)

In October, while surfing the net, I decided to do a search for used
tractors and immediately found "The Tractor Guy".

You had the type of tractor, in good condition, that I had been searching
for for such a long time. I had no intention of buying since I am
temporarily living in North Carolina. However, after several phone
conversations and numerous pictures, and investigating the cost of shipping
the tractor from Idaho to Michigan, I decided to purchase a used IH 585
tractor with a front end loader. The price was right and, after being so
unsuccessful in the past, the purchase made sense. I saved about $ 3000 on
the tractor even after paying for the shipping.

The delivery was timed so that I could pick up the tractor during a vacation
at my farm during the New Year,s holiday. All went well.

I am pleased with the deal and the tractor. I would highly recommend
purchasing a tractor from Drex and Becky to other buyers, even from a long
distance.

Just thought I'd let y'all know I made it home ok---hit some snow right at the summit in the blue mtns. and lots of rain and wind but otherwise OK!!

Just a note to tell you how happy I am with my new toy (and the end of all my spare time for life!!). I've already discovered that I can back the rotary cutter into a 10 foot stand of blackberrys and reduce the size of a 55 gallon barrel to that of a shoe-box!!!(It's rather noisy but did no apparent damage)
I may well be looking for a used disk come spring if you find a "hot" deal on such a device.

To Drex & Becky:

Cheryl and I want to thank both of you for the pleasant buying experience, and also the hospitality, that both of you showed us while we were shopping for a tractor.

This is the first tractor we have owned and we did not really have any idea what type of tractor would meet our needs. Drex asked me to describe my tractor tasks and he made a recommendation. Drex also explained, in simple plain language, why a certain tractors would meet our needs.

We went out to Drex & Becky's place and they gave us the run of the ranch. Drex and I talked tractors and Cheryl and Becky talked inside the house with a cool drink. I was also allowed, and encouraged, to operate any tractor that I wanted to test in the "playground" behind the shop.

The entire shopping experience was pleasant, interesting, and informative. Drex explained all the pros and cons of any tractor I was interested in. When I had made my choice, Drex explained all the controls and maintenance issues of the tractor I had chosen. We also did a walk around and Drex "nit-picked" the tractor and insisted that everything be in perfect condition when I took delivery. And it was !!!!

Drex and Becky are "good people" who are hard working, honest, and hospitable. This is how "business" was once conducted and may of us wonder why things have changed. Well, it hasn't changed in some places, and for some folks.

We would highly recommend Drex & Becky to anyone who is looking for a good working tractor at a fair price.

I'm writing you this note just to let you know that the tractor I purchased from you is as good has you said it was, actually it's better.

Honestly, I was a little concerned about buying a tractor over the Internet. After emailing and or speaking to a number of other dealers, I found speaking with the both of you made me feel more like of a friend than a potential customer.
